Fruit Splat Addition:

Materials:
- Access to computers and the internet so that students can run http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/mathgames/fruitshoot/fruitshoot_addition.htm
Directions:
- students should go to http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/mathgames/fruitshoot/fruitshoot_addition.htm and select level one or two depending on what addition facts they need to work with
- Students can play the game to practice their addition facts
Peg-A-Numer-Fact Game

Materials:
- clothespins with addition problems written on them
- peg cards (found here)
Directions:
- students can practice solving their addition fact problems by finding the answer to the addition problems written on clothespins and then clipping them onto the answer card
- students should then look and compare all of the different ways to make individual numbers
Dice Addition

A set of dice for each student
·
A “Dice Addition” sheet for each student to
record on
Directions:

Students will roll their dice and record the
number on each of the dice in the circles on the Dice Addition sheet
·
The students will then add the numbers using
whatever strategy they prefer
·
After adding the numbers and recording their
answer the students can check their work by counting the total number of dots
on the dice
